I'd argue he's figured out quite a bit of the point as well as the important game mechanics that make Braid unique.

1. You can't die

2. You can rewind time

3. There is no limit to the amount of time you can rewind.

4. You need to collect puzzle pieces (watch as he simultaneous mocks the game, yet rewinds in order to pick up a missed piece)

5. Yes - it's Mario "all grown up" - what does that tell you?

Blow has done a great job communicating all of that to someone who thinks the game is "stupid"
