On August 15, 2009, Cardinal Sean O'Malley, the Archbishop of Boston, presided at a Mass which marked the return of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration to St. Clement Shrine. Now the only church in the entire city of Boston with Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, St. Clement Shrine is attracting people from all walks of life. The return of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration marks an exciting new chapter in the history of St. Clement's and in the history of Boston.
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is a wonderful and grace-filled practice of around-the-clock Eucharistic Adoration. Volunteers, called adorers, sign up for various hours, ensuring that every hour of the day and night is covered. A well-organized system of scheduling, with coordinators in charge of sections of hours and enhanced security for nightime adoration, helps to maintain this important devotion. St. Clement Shrine is located at 1105 Boylston Street in Boston.
