OPRAH GIVES ME AND HER FANS THE BRUSH-OFF @ The Toronto Film Festival :-( OPRAH, WHY?

Oprah Winfrey was in Toronto with the cast of the movie "Precious". I know she was here to promote her movie but I can't believe how Oprah Winfrey gave me and thousands of her fans, the brush-off, at The Toronto Film Festival. People waited hours to see her and get a picture of her. I was there for hours, with my back killing me but I am a fan of Oprah's, so I waited. I would never have expected her to act like she did. Yeah, I was upset and a little hurt.

She gave all her attention to the media, who were on the side of Roy Thompson Hall, while her real fans were lined up along the opposite side. So guess who Oprah turns her back to, as soon as she gets out of the car? I was right across from the red carpet, the best position along barrier, and even I only saw her face for a second, only after she heard the fans screaming her name. (She turned and waved, so she did hear us calling her) The vast majority of the fans there, only got to see the back of her head because she was too busy posing for the paparazzi and ignoring us, her true fans. (the ones who made her rich and famous)


Funny thing is, Mary J Blige, who I thought was the real DIVA, was so nice to the fans, walking all along the fan area, to talk with people and pose for pics. She even walked right down to the end, so everyone could take a picture. I just thought that was so considerate! I was surprised and quite impressed with the respect she showed the fans. That, I wouldn't have expected, I really thought she was a difficult diva. My impression of her has greatly changed.

It's funny, everything went the opposite of what I expected. My one chance to see and experience the awe of Opera and it's out the window. I'm so disappointed in Opera but I'M STILL AN OPRAH FAN, just a hurt one! :-( She still does a lot of great things to help people and be a positive force on the planet.




I just have one question. OPRAH WHY???

I have to say, Gail King seemed so nice and down-to-earth. I was quite impressed with her. She came out and talked to the crowd a few times and seemed quite friendly and relaxed. She also looked fabulous!

But in the end, most people were there to see the big O and they walked away quite disappointed and in my case, a bit hurt. (Only because I really like her) I'm still glad I went. It's always fascinating for me to see how human beings interact with one another.

The whole video will be posted with Mariah Carey, Gabourney Sidibe (the star of the movie) Sherri Sheppard and surprisingly, Robert De Niro. So stay tuned.

@Silvertaker I'm not saying she owes anybody anything but these stars know their fans have been waiting there for hours, to see them, so I appreciate when they greet the fans and pose for pictures. Look at my videos of Brad Pitt & Bono. They walked around and posed with all the fans, as well as signed autographs. Maybe Oprah had a good reason for not addressing the fans, I really don't know. All I know, is what I saw but I am a huge Oprah fan, so I do want to believe she had a very good reason

Oprah was infact needed right away inside. because She had to do some quick reading of her speech and then they needed everyone invited to the film festival to sit down so they could begin their evening.

She was not trying to be rude at all. I know because Oprah is a very kind, caring person,
