The Founder and CEO of Spiceworks, Scott Abel discusses the history of Spiceworks and it's goal to build the "iTunes" of network management by offering free software that was a simple, easy-to-use and yet very powerful tool for small businesses. Having established 800,000 users worldwide (70,000 of those are VARS and MSP's) there's no arguing that Spiceworks is on the fast track to success. Part of this success is due to the great time they have connecting with their users at their Spiceworld User Conferences (this event was held at the Alamo in Austin, TX, October 2009).
