Thanks for this. It was indeed useful

@tomzjamz It might. Depends on how the hole is routed for the jack. But the correct jack only costs a couple of bucks and will be a lot easier to use. A standard 1/4" jack is much more compact than a strap-jack, and it doesn't stick out as far either. I'd just buy the right jack.

Hi, I bought one of these by accident. I needed a replacement jack for my electric guitar because it kept coming loose. I have a les paul would I still be able to install this kind of jack on my les paul?

Great instructional video! I'm so glad that I watched this video before installing my pickup. I definitly would have screwed it up.
-
@flipeo32 It's a 1/4" jack that came with the pickup.

@theldsdude Right, my homebrewedmusic channel has stuff on mic comparisons, recorder evaluations and techniques, video syncing, and lots more. I also have a channel, franguidry, where I post Hawaiian music, mostly my own but some pieces by friends of mine.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Thank you....very well explained and patiently done ! I have an Ovation which needed the piezo replaced but it is simple to do since there is a round hatch you can remove but this will help me in the future,,,,I wish more videos on youtube were like yours !!!!

Fran - you've helped me so much with recording info over at AGF, and tonight when I just happened to need help with the end jack on my Fishman, what do I find but a video from you that is exactly what I needed. Seriously, you're awesome!

@DropD1123 I'll have to mention to my wife that I am now officially awesome. Somehow I don't think she'll agree, but I appreciate having your opinion in the mix (grin).
