To tsport100

It seems we have a huge misunderstanding. Have you seen my profile...I'm a Tesla fan, NOT a Tesla hater. If I was a hater, I would have posted on your video. I also wouldn't bother to post videos or comment on the Roadster. If you don't believe me, you can see my posts at Tesla Motors Club (BTW are a member? There's lots of discussion about Tesla there and EVs in general too) I realize that Elon has been using the 30-70 figures very widely, so I'm sorry if my use of "cherry picking" was too harsh. If my message came across as hostile, then I am sincerely sorry. Being a fan of the Tesla Roadster and of EVs in general, I just feel it is important to be objective and acknowledge both positive and negative aspecs. Again, I want to make it clear my message was not intended to be hostile or an insult to you. Hope we can talk again in the future.

Sincerely hope there were no hurt feelings.

The video just shows I wasn't BSing when I sent my original message to you.
"Actual range depends on driving style and conditions. During testing of prototypes cars, Tesla Motors has seen between 170 miles per charge for very spirited driving to 267 miles per charge for city driving that makes use of the Roadster's regenerative braking. Our most recent EPA driving cycle tests, conducted November 26-30, 2007, at an EPA-certified facility, resulted in the following numbers:
230 mi EPA city
211 mi EPA highway
221 mi EPA combined (city/highway)"
http://www.teslamotors.com/learn_more/faqs.php
This shows that the max range they got was 267 miles, but it is more appropriate to use the 221 miles EPA range. Or you can say "up to 267 miles."

"Our top-gear acceleration measured 2.3 seconds for the 30-to-50- and 50-to-70-mph intervals. The Tesla's 4.6-second total for the two tests bests that of a Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series, which was our 2007 champion in this measure of instant responsiveness."

This shows the Tesla roadster was the fastest 30-70 in top gear for 2007, not in general. Again discussion of top gear 30-70 test:

Again, I'm not trying to make the Tesla Roadster look bad, just saying some of the info is incorrect. I don't mean any hostility. Feel free to drop me a message or even join the Tesla Motors Club, Thanks!
