This is a quick video to explain about Lipo batteries.

Lipo batteries are great batteries! They provide lots of power, long runtimes, and they charge fast!

They do have a downside though; they are more susceptible to fire! To reduce your risk of fire/injury make sure to use a high quality balance charger, and always check your batteries before and after charging! Never leave your batteries charging unattended!

Just be careful with your Lipo's and you'll be fine!

  • How do I dispose of a Lipo battery which is bubbling

  • @weera19301 I think each city has it's own way of disposing of batteries, perhaps call ur city and ask. i actually need to find out the same thing myself. I have a large lipo bag filled with dead and puffed batteries I need to get rid of.

  • Oh and also I just leave it charging in the kitchen overnight will that be long enough to charge it fully? My nicad charger is set at 4.0a? if that helps

  • @daveconno of course you *cannot* charge lipos with a nicad charger, and overnight is way too long, it would explode in just a couple hours at 4a charge rate, especially with wrong charger type. You need a high quality balance lipo charger for charging lipos.

  • Is it correct that if you are camping and you cant get a fire started then you can bite a lipo in half with your teeth and this will start a nice camp fire? Would this be dangerous.

Also I bought a new lipo and charged it with my sanyo nicad charger and it got really big. Does that mean its fully charged? My charger is very old and doesnt have a display so i dont know when its fully charged. Do they go small again when you use all the power?

  • @daveconno you obviously are just being a 'troll'. Or you are extremely stupid... but you cannot charger a lipo with a niacd charger... I'm sure you already know this.

  • wow your so HOT... a beautiful lady talking about Lipo Batteries? nothing gets hotter than that.....anyway i was charging my 6S 2600mah thunder power and it won't charge. i was using a 3Amp power supply. Help

  • @badboyazza2009 I've had good luck with turnigy batteries so far.

  • @daveconno do NEVER charge lipo overnight, to charge lipo you need to like sit next to it and check it, or go to another room but set a timer so you can hear when the charge is done. Get a high quality balance charger and make sure you type in the right settings your battery!
