Last week, Lynn President Kevin M. Ross announced that more than $800,000 has been raised for the new six-court tennis complex that will be built on campus. Members of Lynn's men's and women's tennis teams personally thanked the donors and presented them with oversized (and Fighting Knight-autographed) tennis balls.
The complex will be a fitting home for the seven-time national champion tennis program (the men won their first NCAA Div. II championship in 2007; the women's team has six national titles). The Perper Tennis Complex, which will be located southwest of the teams' existing facilities, will have covered, center-stadium seating and a total of six courts. The university must raise a total of $1 million for the project before breaking ground.
