This is a HOW-TO-PLAY Video
Showing how to play the Jaipur Olympic Beats
on Jumbo Acoustic Guitar.
The Acoustic Guitar is used as Drums
( There is infact a Drum in every Acoustic Guitar ! )

THE PERCUSSION STYLE :
INDO-FLAMENCO
The Style is Indo-Flamenco, Created and developed by me,
combining the Elements of Flamenco, Raaga and Tabla.

A JOURNEY ON THE ROUTES TO THE ROOTS OF FLAMENCO !

The Beats are played on the Acoustic Guitar body Top, using
Fingers, Nails and Palm. While playing, the right hand is moved
to different parts of the Guitar-Top to get different sounds.
With the left hand, the strings are touched lightly so as to
minimize or to avoid String-Sounds.

KEEPING THE BEATS :
Please do not try 2 keep the Beat, because, I have played this
Free-Style ( I always do ). You should actually let the Beats lead you.

GUITAR :
Hoefner JUMBO Acoustic ( deep and wide body ).
Approximately 4 year old Guitar, but in good shape considering
all the Percussion-Beatings it has endured all these years.

STRINGS :
Martin Extra Light Guage, Bronze.

Let us pass on the JAIPUR BEATS to the World.
and take these Beats to The Olympics 1012 in London,
Olympics 2016 and beyond !
An Olympic Endeavour as part of
THE OLYMPIC MUSIC MARATHON ( MaraTone ) !

Jaipurs contribution to the spirit of the ancient Olympics.

Thanx 4 watching and listening !
Cheeeeeeeeers from LUCIUS and Sunny Arnim !

  • whats with all the banging on the guitar

  • The guitar is actually a percussion insturment. Most people think of it as a melodic, which it is, but it is at heart a drum, you can play a million ways.

  • Aloha,

thanks for the update on this cool music genre!

  • Super!
