A 404 page is found when you reach the wrong page on a domain. Many websites have a static 404 page in order to make sure the users can find what they are really looking for. A good 404 page should have a link to the home page, a search box to enable users to look for what they are looking for, and a link to the sitemap. A 404 page should keep the same look and feel of your site but should not redirect to your home page.
