http://www.maxworkouts.com - Shin Ohtake demonstrates how to do squats and lunges using full range of motion. If you're stacking on the weights without fully completing each move, you're cheating your muscles. Shin shows you how to lunge and squat with good form and full range of motion
Hi Shin, I am glad to have come across your channel. Your videos and demonstrations are informative and helpful. As for range of motion for the squat, what stretches/mobility exercises do you recommend to achieve full range of motion? More specifically, what is the best solution to correcting "butt-wink", or rounding of the pelvis, at the bottom of the squat? Thank you in advance.

Shin points out a couple of things I don't see much of. The point of full range of motion is to exercise the whole muscle. The other point of starting light is that tendons take some time to develop, especially as you get older. Muscle builds relatively quickly. Starting most exercises with the bar plus 10 or 20 pounds for most people that have never worked out or who haven't been in the gym in awhile is fine. Adding 10 pounds a week is not overly aggressive.

mr Ohtake, I really like workout methods and soon as I can I will purchase your ebook maxworkouts! Right now i weigh about 100 kg,my lenght is 177 cm. I know lunges are KING when it comes 2 fatburningexcs! But i'm a bit afraid 2 them because of my right knee..I can do everything with it, its only weaker than my left knee! And when I do try 2 lunge..it feels almost like its about 2 collapse! so what excercises can I do 2 get my r. knee stronger and can lunge more convincely? abduc/adduc machine?
