Ford officially released a statement last nght that they are withdrawing their bid on the short term loan.

This mean only GM and Chrysler will be receiving the bailout money.

Ford never had an interest in a short term loan. We were there to support the industry and to ask for access to an emergency line of credit, should the economy worsen or one of the other automakers file for bankruptcy. We are confident in our liquidity through 2009.

@dodgechryslersucks Chrysler has lost its reliability since 93, when they were taken over by corupt asses. Im glad the BOTH GM and Ford are on the rebound. I love Most new vehicles from both. If I could afford a new Silverado or F150, youd better believe Im goin for it! But when I get my liscens, Im probably gonna end up with my Grandmother's 92 Ford Aerostar. Which im fine with that! I love that van!

Ford, please start using better interior materials. use less grainy and hard materials. make it feel more expensive. And please make your cars less boring. like the Fusion v malibu, the malibu looks much better. your cars need more character. and PLEASE redesign the ranger, and revamp its engines. I like Ford's values, what they try to do. But, you really need some better stuff!
