I love this video. My friend plays verious native American Indian flutes and has his own CD. I always wanted to get into Flute making, and this would actually be a good starting point. Thanks for the post.

@modeeb2 but that's MY rude opinion

@modeeb2 bullshit trying to create differences between instruments that'll be ''flutes'' forever, independently the way we call or play them, if straightly or side-blown, and you don't need choose a specific instruments key if you're able to play whatever it is

I can't find the dimensions for how far away the table is from the end of the flute. I checked his previous video and the picture doesn't actually give you that distance. Help anyone?

@WoohDrew It's on Part 1 at the 3:28 minute section. There's a still image that has two parts with red number 1 and 2. Under no. 2, there's the Blow end to center of fipple.
Good luck.

why will I waste my time if I can buy one recorder for less than $2?

@fabiohpupo Well, first you get to make a "flute" (not a recorder) so there's a difference in the sound. 2nd, you can choose whatever key you want to make the flute in whereas a $2 store recorder gives you one choice. And lastly, there's some reward in knowing how to actually make something with one's hands rather than just plunking down $2 for an injection molded toy.
