This is great, but my tear is on the front of a jacket, so how do I go about finishing the stitch if I can't access the back side of the fabric?

Finally I have learned to properly finish a stitch, and just in time 'cause this little project needs to hold tight!

yes! finaly I know how to close the stitch, thank you! I used to always finish it by actually tying it in a knot but the knot would always pull through the fabric and the stitch would come undone.
