The City of Marion intends to build a new community facility in Hallett Cove. The proposed new Cove Enterprise Hub will include a library, community and enterprise centre will provide a multi-purpose, flexible use community resource for the City of Marion's southern area which will include:
- State of the art library.
- Community and business meeting spaces, small and large, which can be hired for private use or by community groups.
- Hall space which can be hired for a range of leisure activities and events.
An application for funding was lodged on 12 May 2011 for $3.5 million under the Federal Government Regional Development Australia fund towards the $13.25 million project. Marion Council have increased their commitment to fund the project up to $10 million.
The project scope has been extended to include a business enterprise hub which will provide services and support to existing and developing business.
