Katelyn Convery performs her song "Everything Will Be Ok" at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, OR. Her official video of the same is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtkCOnMLFk0

She was invited by Amy Grant to come sing during this Portland-area stop on the 2 Friends tour with Michael W Smith. Amy met Katelyn at a Portland restaurant after a few hours of biking around Portland and found out she was a song-writer.

Please go watch Katelyn's official copy of this video from the in-house camera system here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtkCOnMLFk0

  • Would you mind telling me what kind of camera you shoot with? Kate's voice sounds richer on your video than it does on the video from the in-house cameras. I've been listening to her sing for years and your video captures her better. (Thank you, again.)

  • @Amberlyjoy It is a (now kinda oldish) Canon Vixia HF10. It was one of the new generation of flash memory-based HD consumer cameras. I was in the 2nd row (hence the head in the way at the end of the video) and so was rather close to the sub woofers which flanked each side of the stage. I have, in general though, been really happy with the overall quality of the camera. I've captured other concerts and events (check my channel) and a lot of people have commented on the quality.

  • @Amberlyjoy I'm a sound engineer by hobby too, and I think the sound is ok in the other video, but it's also really hard to do a live mix and record mix at the same time. With a full track breakout it would be easy to re-EQ the 'official' video, but that takes time. But, I'm talking about technical stuff too much like I usually do. She put on a great performance. Her voice has a deep quality that is enchanting.

  • @rebelloq Thank you so much for uploading this. I just had to upload to youtube for the first time and it took forever, so now I know the effort it takes! Thank you! Also, my friend amberlyjoy is right, I love the sound on your camera. I was actually a bit disappointed with the sound on the house video, but the shots are great! It's nice to have this one too.

  • @rbelloq Thanks for the info!! The techie stuff goes over my head just a bit, but I am a music aficionado and my ears are definitely tuned to what I like. :-) The sound in the other video is crisper, the dialog is easier to understand, her lyrics stand out more and yet somehow, her voice sounds fuller here. I hear more depth. I don't know how else to explain it.

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • Great, touching performance! It was awesome!

  • Kateyn,

You were awesome last night. It was great to hear you and then to meet you in the Lobby. I wish you well in S. A. Would love to hear more of your stuff.

  • So proud of my niece Katie for her awesome performance and great stage presence. Thank you rbelloq for recording and posting this very good video. Props!
