The Luxe [trailer]

My attempt at a trailer-type video for Anna Godbersen's The Luxe. I don't want to spoil anything, so don't keep reading this if you haven't read the book! Its really amazing, though...if that's the case, you should go out and look for it, its worth it.

Anyway. This was my attempt at putting together something that actually made sense with the plot of the book - I don't know if I succeeded. I tried to portray the five major characters: Elizabeth and Diana Holland, Will Keller, Penelope Hayes, and Henry Schoonmaker. If you have trouble following that, Elizabeth's the blonde one, Henry has curly hair (not that I pictured him like that, but Gemini2590 introduced me to creative license!), Will has straight hair (again, I worked with the guys I had), Penny is the one in red, and Diana is in there sparingly, kissing Henry (and maybe in one or two other places).

So yeah, if you've read the books, you'll realize there's no particular order to the events in this trailer. I just kind of tried to represent the general idea. I used Nara by ES Posthumus. The movie is the 2007 version of Mansfield Park. No copyright infringement intended. Enjoy!

Sure! There is a lot of dressing up for balls and stuff, but throughout the series there are places where the male characters' POV are more prominent. (Does that make sense?) I can't say for certain, but a guy might like them.

I'm a guy and I gotta say, I actually liked the first book. I have a soft side for books like the luxe so I guess in a way some guys might like the series.
