@MrRandomBlahhh Hi, I record into a Boss BR-800, its brilliant for what you pay for it! Sometimes I record direct for the cleaner stuff, I've got my Marshall miked up with a Shure EM57 for the heavier.

@BFMV1000800040 Thanks on this one I'm straight into my Boss BR-800 using the effects in the box - not bad for £350 of kit! For the solo I used my Marshall JMP-1. Cheers.

Do you know how to get a good distortion sound with the BR 800?

@BiollanteSpawn Hi, although the BR-800 is a brilliant machine for the price, the thing I've found hardest is to get a good heavy/lead sound, I always seem to go back to my Marshall, but then again, it is proper tubes and worth a hell of a lot more!. Best advice I can give is find one of the presets you like and then start to change the virtual amp and cab settings - these seem to have the most influence on the tone.

@b9lue Thanks. My problem is i have A marshall amp with a greatsound, but no way to record it effectively. I have BR-800 and a Blue Snowball USB mic.

@BiollanteSpawn I have a Shure SM57, its the industry standard and it is pretty good, you can also set up COSM effects to work with it in the BR-800. I position it very close to the speaker mesh, just off centre of the cone, so it picks up a bit more low end and doesn't sound as fuzzy. Good luck with it.
