I wrote this song several years ago in Alaska, where the sockeye salmon swim 200 miles upstream without eating in order to spawn. By the time they get to the end the only parts of their body that contain any nutrients are the brain and the eyeballs. This song is from the point of view of a fish who's is a great amount of pain, but not yet dead. Rabbi Avram provides backup vocals and harmony.
