Shangri-la hotel Beijing China Jan 2007 - hotel room, excellent value, comfortable, and service amazing. 10 minutes taxi to tiananmen sq. Only complaints internet slow to UK and buy loads of Water from shops as hotel only had small bottles.

yes, I would have killed for a 7-11 over the road I spent most of my time looking for quantities of drinking water and then toilets, 2 important mandarin words i think :)

the low speed of internet when connecting uk websites is not their fault.

the same slow when I connect chinese websites from uk.lol

btw, it's just 10 minutes' walk from where u live to my house in peking.
