  • As far as music is concerned there's only one Bruce and there's only one Harry. But combined, they are two of a kind ... great stuff!!

  • I also remember the day that Harry died. My second husband and I were sitting in our living room and it came on the radio. And we sat there stunned and stared at each other in absolute shock. We didn't want to believe he was gone. Oddly enough I had also happened to catch Johnny Carson the first time he was on the show with "Taxi," and knew by listening to that one song he was going to be something else. I will always love "Circle" best.

  • Beautiful version, but my problem here is no one spells Bruce's last name right. Its SPRINGSTEEN, NOT SPRINGSTEIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blueyesopened the gaslight anthem. if think todays music is dead and has lost all of its heart and soul just listen to gaslight anthem they will give you hope. and a reason to enjoy music again.

  • I'm sorry, Springstein has had many hit tunes and stirs people in his concerts, but in my opinion butchers this song. This song written by one of the most wonderful and important voices in all music history deserved better than this particular 'rendition'. Sounds like an old country bar karaoke than a tribute. I do appreciate his words of testimony to Harry's life. A better representation of just how wonderful Harry's music is, is Pat Benatar singing Shooting Star from the same show.

  • This version and the Smothers Brothers doing "Six String Orchestra" always gets me...

  • i have been lucky enough to see bruce in concert seven times (former jersey girl i am) and harry the year before he died...both are magical people and have touched my life. thank you for posting this, it always makes me smile/cry.

  • I love Bruce, but don't think he makes this song better than Harry Chapin did. Different, his own style, but not better.

  • is the Boss a Juden Boss'??????

  • i can totally imaging harry hanging his head back to look up at a friend, just to excgange words, for fourty minutes... rip harry

  • bearznorthCATHY may be my favorite poster on YouTube now since I've discovered these clips from the Harry Chapin tribute concert!! I have listened to this tape and/or CD over and over for years - and this Springsteen performance has always moved me to tears...to see the video finally is incredible.

  • I learnt about Harry late in my life, but so glad that I made it, something I have passed onto my sons and wife.
