The Miracle Of Asia - Part 1 of 2

Directed by James Wiffen

This is a documentary about Singapore, a country that has risen from a poor developing country, to an economic giant, in a little over 50 years. The main focus of the documentary is the people, both native Singaporeans, and also foreign workers who have relocated there, as these have been the key to the country's success. Singapore is a melting pot of different cultures, and this is highlighted in the film, by focusing on people from all nationalities, and all walks of life, and how they work together in unity, and harmony.

This was made as a final year project on the TV Production course at Bournemouth University.

  • @sandye2100 -continued- The high discipline is actually 'okayokay' for us as we Singaporeans don't really dis-benefit from it, although we mock fun of it once in a while.

My grandparents always told me about the low security of their country, and how people would hurt one another just for mere fun.. even rape girls and get away with it!

But in Singapore, such cases are rare, due to fears of punishments for committing crimes and chances of getting away from the law are really really low.

  • @sandye2100 dafuq. slave status? bitch please.

if we were slaves we wont be able to complain everysingleday about everysingleshit.

Is it due to the high amount of complaints that causes you to think that we are a third world barbaric country? In case you did not realise, those complaints are obviously usually just sarcastic/random.

If we were third world... the government wouldn't spend like a few thousands on each student.

I do agree that the level of discipline is slightly TOOO-DAMM-HIGGHH

  • @drummerxkun You may feel Free --but you are not-- and you may be happy, and I am glad you are content with your slave status (no matter how benevolent the masters are) but Singapore remains a third world BARBARIC police state.

  • @sandye2100 im singaporean! and i feel free! and happier than if i were on holiday somewhere else in this world. I LOVE IT HERE. come over and take a look at the place yourself!

  • @sandye2100 btw. i LOVE hong kong <333 sososososo MUCH! so dont give your ppl a bad name. oh and if hk were so safe why is the crime rate, gangsters and drug abuser rates higher than sg huh?!

  • @sandye2100 are you some western fuck who's got too much time on your hands? cuz the traditional asian method of "torture" is te reason why we dont have so many documentaries about criminals and their lives. thats why we are safe. btw, sg is one of the best countries. extremely modern and this whole miracle happened in only like 30 years. sgreans are patriotic as hell so dont mess with us.
