NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEEEEEVER trust the Retention Specialist at Directv. The Retention Specialist will make you an offer that can't be confirmed once you hang up and Directv will NOT abide by that offer for the length of your contract. Plus, halfway into your contract they'll raise their rates from that which you signed on to and your contract permits these rate hikes and you just eat them. NEVER NEVER NEVER Trust that Directv will honor the terms of the contract you lock yourself into!

Uverse picture quality is much better. Too bad its AT&T technology and the company makes it difficult for the customer. Talking to an AT&T rep is like talking to a used car salesman.

if you have high speed internet you should get the roku cable box for your tv. roku is a streaming player. its the size of a hockey puck. roku has over 600 channels and they keep adding channels everyday. you only pay for the roku once after that its free. now there are some channels you have to pay for if you want but most of them are free. go to roku.com to learn more about this device.

@matrix3000k I agree with @ericlanela. You shouldn't have been charged for ECF for NLOS. It only applies if you denied a second opinion from a technician, cause what applies is that DirecTV should make everything they can to solve issue before customer cancels or wants a replacement for receivers (the time they can take to do that varies and it can take too long, that's true) BUT if there were a note from technician on first and second opinion, any manager could've waived your ECF.

I have to agree Direct TV SUCKS... My father in law just signed up for a package with a two year contract. The Package was advertised in a AAA magazine. It clearly states free 4 upgrades: HD DVR and three HD receivers. It was installed today and when the service guy was asked about the DVR he said it was not included in the package...Several calls have only frustrated us further-they saying they can add a DVR with extra fees. Deceptive advertising-down right lie.....

I have been involved in a dispute with DirectTV. They lost the rights to TWO major networks (NBC and CW) in my area with no end in sight. I am a new customer, and want out of my contract. They threaten to send it to collections if you don't pay, and they point to their unconscionable ONE-SIDED customer service agreement.
I wrote the the number 2 man in the company, and even then, the call I got from some escalation team was FUTILE.
I CANNOT SAY THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH: STAY WAY FROM DIRECTV!!!
I know folks in the CRG(customer retention group)and movers connection group in LA and you should not have been charged an ECF(early cancellation fee)for the technician NLOS(no line of sight)issue. The ECF should have most definitely been waived for this reason. Most of the time they want to get a second opinion, but it's very strange you're saying you were charged an ECF for this issue. You sure it wasnt an NRF(non-returned equipment) fee? I don't know the specifics, but just curious.

Ohhhhhh no. It was a cancellation Fee according to upper accounting management who's phone number doesn't "exist" DTV sent me the boxes and everything I needed to pack up the equipment and I sent it back signature required and I have proof that they got everything. All the reps that I spoke to when I saw the charge told me straight out it was a cancellation fee cause I broke the contract that I didn't even agree to or sign. The company you work for is totally Unethical!

Don't misunderstand the message of this video. Its not about their quality of service that they provide you with but more of their customer service. Now I made this video 3 years ago so I don't know if their customer service has changed or not! I personally don't care if it has. I will no longer have then in my house. so its pretty much up to you. God forbid that you have cancel or if you move and it doesn't work they will FUCK you in anyway they can!
