By the time Joe got home, he noticed that Kevin and Nick had already gotten home. He parked his car in the garage and walked upstairs into the living room, still thinking about Jen. When he stepped into the room, he saw Nick and Sarah on the couch kissing.
Joe: Woah, didnt need to see that
Nick: (pulling away from Sarah) Well dont walk in on us
Joe: I didnt even know she was here...by the way hey Sarah
Sarah: Hey Joe, nice timing
Joe: Ha ha, thanks
Sarah: You're welcome
Joe: Anyway, cant you guys go somewhere thats behind closed doors?
Nick: No, you know mom wont let me have a girl alone with me in my room
Joe: Oh ya. Well keep your lovey dovey business to a minimum please?
Sarah: We cant promise that
Joe: Ugh! Just let me get out of the room
Nick: 3......2.......1
Joe: (running into the kitchen) Geez, kids these days (thinking back to when he'd kissed Jen) Wait nevermind, I just got done doing the same thing (smiling as he brought his fingers up to his lips, remembering his and Jen's first kiss)
Kevin: (walking in to get him something to drink and noticing Joe with a goofy smile on his face) Um hello? Earth to Joe (waving his hand in front of his face)
Joe: Huh what?
Kevin: You left for awhile
Joe: No I didnt, I havent moved since I walked in here
Kevin: Ugh you're too difficult to try to talk to sometimes
Joe: Oh wait you mean daydreaming
Kevin: Yes
Joe: Oh well that yes
Kevin: Ya so, what were you thinking about?
Joe: You mean WHO was I talking about?
Kevin: Oh so its somebody huh?
Joe: Ya
Kevin: Ok who?
Joe: Just some girl
Kevin: Jen?
Joe: Maybe
Kevin: Gosh Joe just freaking ask her out already! We all know you like her! She probably even knows herself
Joe: I know she knows
Kevin: Then why not ask?
Joe: I already did. Geez, let me finish a sentence every once in awhile
Kevin: FINALLY!!! Gosh I thought you werent ever going to ask her
Joe: Thats because you have no patience
Kevin: Ok so is that a crime?
Joe: No but its annoying
Kevin: Oh
Joe: (laughing alittle)
Kevin: So.....she's really your girlfriend now or are you just saying that to get me off your back? Cuz you do that sometimes
Joe: Yes she's really my girlfriend now will you go away?
Kevin: Rude, I was kinda hoping I'd get some details
Joe: (patting Kevin on the back and walking out) I dont kiss and tell
Kevin: YOU KISSED!!!!!!!
Nick: SHUT UP IN THERE!!!!
Kevin: (rolling his eyes and going outside)
Sarah: Nick what time is it?
Nick: Um (looking at his phone) 5:30
Sarah: Crap I better get home (jumping up and grabbing her school bag)
Nick: Hey uh, why dont I take you home? So you dont have to walk
Sarah: I was hoping you'd ask
Nick: (laughing and walking her to the car, opening the door for her as she got in)
Sarah: Loving the gentleman act Nicholas
Nick: Hey, its Nick
Sarah: (laughing) Oh ok fine, Nicholas
Nick: (playfully rolling his eyes) Ha ha funny (driving off)
Sarah: So um, do you think Joe will let it go about him walking in on us
Nick: Ya probably
Sarah: Well we shouldnt have done that either ya know
Nick: Oh so you think that it was wrong or something
Sarah: In a way
Nick: Why?
Sarah: I dont know, its just when Joe walked in it kinda made me think well what if that had been your parents and then they might have kicked me out for being all over their son
Nick: Oh c'mon my parents arent like that
Sarah: How should I know? I've never met them
Nick: Ya and if you keep making me mad you never will
Sarah: EXCUSE ME! Since when are you mad!
Nick: Since you thought us kissing each other was wrong
Sarah: Ugh you are blowing this whole thing out of proportion
Nick: Whatever
Sarah: (noticing that he keeps speeding up the more angry he gets) Atleast slow down will you?
Nick: Why should I?
Sarah: Because we m-
She was cut off by the horn of a car blaring right in her ear, and the screeching of brakes and Nick's car slammed into an oncoming lane of opposite traffic. The car flipped three times, taking the roof partially off, and making all the glass in the car shatter into billions of pieces. All either one of them could feel was the glass slicing their skin on their arms, legs, and faces. The car finally rolled to a stop in the middle of a ditch, upside down. Once she finally opened her tear filled eyes, Sarah looked over at Nick to apologize, but was brought face to face with the worst feeling of shock she'd ever felt. His head was tilted back on the seat, blood running down both sides of his face and his eyes slightly open from passing out when his head had hit the steering wheel.
