@Roguelily *courses. Stupid typos.

@MessagesFromEarth 0_o You know what's completely bizarre? I go to Kent. I'm mostly at the Stark campus since it's closer and cheaper to commute from home, but I've taken a few course at the Kent campus, including my current Japanese class. You're like my twin, only a married dude on the other side of the planet. Opposite-twin?
Anyway, I'll look for some new videos from you, hopefully soon!

I really enjoy these videos! I just applied to the JET Program less than a week ago, so I've been freaking out about how good my app was and I won't even find out if I have an interview or get rejected for about another two months! I've only found your videos in the past day and I've been skipping around them a bit. You have some great information! I'm from Ohio too (Akron) and I also set Chicago as my interview location. I really really hope I can get in! Loved the thunder storm footage!

@Roguelily That's cool that you're from Akron. I went to Kent State, but never really got into Akron too much. I'm glad you like the videos too. I haven't posted much recently, but I want to start getting back into it :)
Now that your application has been sent off you can relax for a little while. They'll contact you when you've almost forgotten about JET and hopefully you'll score an interview!

@renegadeshinobizx Well, Japan's a big place. If you're coming over I would recommend getting the Lonely Planet travel guide. Figure out where exactly you want to go, then read up on all the stuff those cities have to offer. If you're coming here you should probably hit the big three: Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka

cool how do they treat foriengers there?
renegadeshinobizx 1 year ago
@renegadeshinobizx Just fine for the most part. About the same as anywhere else in Japan, I would say. If you're foreign, you're a curiosity to some, an excitement to others, and treated just like anyone else by most people.
