"Aladdin4d" for the Amiga. The software's not cutting edge anymore, but it's still quite capable. You'll have to forgive this video - it's my first ever render - a pretty standard spaceship flyby.

Before buying Aladdin 4D 4.0, I talked to the author on the phone for about an hour. It was an amazing program that would only need a modern UI to still be useful today. The volumetric gas effects, layered materials and low-level control of Aladdin 4D are well beyond the interface paradigm of its era.

I've a couple of things as a wishlist for a new version of Aladdin4d: 1) updated user interface, 2) UNDO feature (yes the ESC button is like a quasi-undo, but this is 2009, 3) A Boolean "unite/subtract" feature between objects (this is a big one), 4) all operations/functions should work on objects without limit (i.e. should work on textured objects - which currently many tools to not).
