People like you will never quit bitching about the novel and defending the old. And back then, few artists wrote songs and all they could do was sing. There are at least 100 people on YouTube who have stunningly similar voices to the singers of your generation. They're easily replaceable.

Honestly, I've never seen a generation as talentless and unoriginal as yours. Aside from a hand select few - including the Beatles - few "artists" of your time had any actual talent. Music today is more heavily dominated with "artists" that dont write their own songs or play their own music. Sure are generation had that too, but it is way worse today. Espicially with the rise of the internet and some can get famous by farting Yankee Doodle Dandee in a microphone
