  • Haves can buy BAD tools at any time!!! Good tool is expensive- not $3 but $30!!! I sharpen each broken-down lathe cutter, mill bit and drill from 2mm to 80mm. Yeah I know- it's take time but I don't waste tools!!!

  • I bet that cost a pretty penny ... lol

  • Ah bugger that just drill half a mil under and get a reamer for precision

  • Almost every comment here is complete rubbish. Yes, you can quite easily grind up drills by hand, but i'd like to see someone consistently grind up drills capable of drilling 100's of holes in materials such as inconel or titanium before having to be changed. Also quite often drills are ground with non standard cone angles, these not only have to be within a degree or so, they also have to be able to produce good finishes, a machine like this is completely nessescary in an engineering factory

  • Fuck man, that thing looks like an accident looking for a place to happen!! Several violations of accepted engineering practices right there!

  • How does precision get into this title?

  • As a long time tool and Die tradesman this looks to be a very good drill grinder.

Most of you that see this video will never know the precision it takes to make a product and how valuable a precision grinder can be.

I work in fraction of a width of a human hair every day , you need machines like this to help achieve this.

Sure any apprentice learn to sharpen by hand but its near impossible to achive consistent accuracy this way .

  • @remoman Some large bore steel drilling bits can run upwards of $100 a piece. A few dollar sharpening service seems minimal in comparison.

  • thats freeking awesome.

  • I am glad someone commented no sound. I thought there had to be a noise when sharpening a drill bit and I had just gone deaf.

  • Wow!! Just buy a cheap drill doctor. Way faster and works great. Waste of time and money.
