The Lane family and the folks at Island Pursuits in Kauai sail some Hobie Adventure Islands and Tandem Islands downwind from Nawiliwili Habor in Lihue, Kauai to the Small Boat Harbor in Poipu, Kauai, around 11 miles. It was a rough day on the high seas but it made for an adventure that will not soon be forgotten.

    you wont capsize, unless it's a 5 ft+ breaking wave, from the side. The boat will break before it capsizes, They take these things across the channel between Maui and Hawaii. very stable and easy to sail.
