  • Viva Misty...Espana

  • Love this song. ....."Play Misty for me". Nutter alert!!

  • So glad to have found this song, after all these years... I lost the single 20 years ago and could not remember the singer, only found all the slow versions. But I like this one best! Even though its not the original version. Look it up on Wiki....

  • I don't know my right foot from my left the way it is----I don't need to be misty....

  • I thought of this when I heard Kate Bush had a song called Misty on '50 Words For Snow' !

  • Definitely, categorically, Ray Stevens' best song ever and THE best version of this standard by anyone. No one can even come close to this masterpiece. Thank you for this memory from 1975, when times were good, indeed.

  • @Precipitation Thanks for the heads-up. Have a bad case of the covets since you actually got to see him play live. Have you heard his Indian Love Call uploaded by bettyd1954? Its one of his serious songs, the only humor is if you know 50's doowop music. The female backup singers are singing shaloop shaloop. Plus, the photos of different animal couples are gorgeous, especially at 0:21. She looks like she has blue eye shadow on. At least I think she is the she of the two. Happy listening.

  • @BgMsDangerus I was just making a joke :). I used to listen to Ray Stevens a lot in the '80s. I even saw him play live in '87. He did do some serious stuff early in his career, and I don't believe he actually became a full-fledged comedy act until He Thinks He's Ray Stevens came out. I like this song quite a bit. It reminds me of what it felt like to have a crush on someone when I was 12.

  • @Precipitation Sorry, it doesn't. One of his "serious" songs. Lets face it, Ray could sing the phone book and make it sound good!

  • When does it get to the funny part?
