Evolatio (Flying Out)
An Original A Cappella Choral Work
Composed and Conducted by: Daniel Halle
Libretto (in Classical Latin) and Translation by: Luke Ranieri

Based on an original story by:
Daniel Halle and Luke Ranieri

Performed by:
The Lehigh University Choir
Dr. Steven Sametz director
March 30th 2008
Baker Hall
Zoellner Arts Center
Lehigh University

III. Venit aquila avida capiendarum avicularum (The Eagle comes, eager to capture the little birds)
IV. Impetus (The Attack)
V. Finis (The End)

I want to thank the choir for an amazing performance and for giving me the opportunity to hear my work. It was an amazing way to help bring five great years towards a close.

I also want to thank Luke for his continued support throughout the compositional and creative process. Without his words, this would have amounted to nothing.

And finally to Dr. Sametz for advising me throughout the process. With his help and encouragement, I achieved the piece I wanted.
