Hey i just bouht a maybell banjo uke and im not to sure weather or not a makes a different if there is steel strings or nylon?

If it's a Soprano 4 string size, Nylon is best I found, and a lot easier on the fingers!! Traditionally, all Banjos would have been strung with gut, and nylon is closest to this. I'd recommend Aquilla strings.
