This has to be THE best guitar synth video I've ever seen. Am I correct that the String Port doesn't do the actual conversion, but uses the host computer? How would that work with something like Cubase? Wouldn't it slow down the computer? Seriously, this vid is so inspiring - actual music played with MIDI guitar instead of mindless noodling noises.

Theoretically, for live use could you run it: guitar>StringPort>midi out to a midi pedalboard (such as a boss unit?)>amp

@mullen2105 yes, that is entirely possible. You could also run MIDI Out from the StringPort to an external rack effects unit and control parameters in the rack unit via StringPort. For example: you can map the "string gliss" source to the CC controlling rate of a vibrato, so as you bend a note the vibrato speeds up/slows down. very cool.
