Hurt - The Tragedy of Gisborne- UPDATED VERSION

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 FINALE

This video is about Guy's life, his past and present. He's always left alone, in the end. :(

In my version of Guy's past:

Guy's father was secretly helping the poverty stricken and ill-treated people from a no-good man who was in charge of their village. (sound familiar?)
When his father's secret was found out he and his family's land and property was taken from them and they were denounced as traitors. His parents and the other villagers decided this was the last straw and finally fought back against their unjust treatment, but lost against a much larger army.

Guy watched his parents die trying to defend themselves and what they believed in and now he was left all alone until he meets Vasey. Vasey is amused by Guy's bravado and uses, manipulates and trains Guy to one day be his right hand man.

Guy re-invents himself, eventually becoming a cold man from blocking out his emotions and conscience as a way to not feel anymore, so that nothing ever hurts him again. He vows to himself that he will never be helpless and powerless as he was when his parents died. He attempts to destroy everything that reminds him of his past and while doing so, he became what he hated most.

The rest is history.

The colored clips are of his childhood/past while the sephia/black and white clips are his present. I know people usually do the opposite but I'm strange, so :P

I created my "Teen Guy" and "Younger Vasey" clips from the movie Eragon.

Guy's Mom in Dad are Gerald Butler and Anna Friel (thanx for that aybaragoldeneyes ), in the move "Timeline".

This is amazing, you did a fantastic job with this. Whoever said this version was perfect was correct.

As an aside...the NIN version is the original, Johnny Cash covered it on his last album (he did covers his whole career but his most famous are this and "Rusty Cage," originally by Soundgarden. Go figure.) His final video was this song and it's incredibly powerful. If you've never seen it I highly recommend searching it.

i don't know who did the original song - Johnny Cash or Nine inch nails - but for a Guy vid, this is the best version.....

& the 'younger Guy' was PERFECT !! 10 Stars :)

I really love this. I just happened upon this wonderful vid....what a great back story.......Love the song choice, it was perfect...I knew the "Nine inch nails" version but not the original version by Johnny Cash....I love his voice, it added a haunted tortured quality to the vid which fit Gisborne's emotions perfectly.

I hope you consider doing a revised version with RH3 Gisborne clips....

Just to say probably the most depressing song I've ever heard but it does work very well with video.
