That is a old Army truck with the 6.2 diesel and 4.56 gears, only good for 62-65mph tops, I assume he was WOT and you were just cruising...

You do know fire departments SOG's that stat how fast you can drive above posted speed limits and how fast you can drive to a type of fire etc?
Our rigs get passed on the Interstate every run even if we are doing 85.
Most department here have a rule of 15 above speed limit.
Grow up please, you comments during the video sounded like a 13 year old. Just saying..

I don't know why everyone has a problem with this video, your not impeding his response at all, that truck just won't go that fast. We get this all the time in our old tanker, its a 90 International with a 5-2 manual trans. It takes forever to get up to speed but I always go lights a sirens even if I'm only doing 55mph.

actually we saw him leave the station then pull out in front of us. Then he continues and eventually turns around. It really made no sense. The only thing that I can think is that the driver didn't know the lights were on.

We are located 30 miles north of harrisburg. We were responding to a brush fire in this vid just south of town. The top speed is 68mph.

I don't know about Alabama but if you pull that crap in Florida, were i am a firefighter,
you get a ticket!!!!! Even if Alabama state laws says you don't have to pull over you should allways pull over and let them have the road!!! I don't know why but for some reason when i am in a brush truck going to a brush fire NO ONE PULLS OFF THE ROAD!!!!! What is so hard about pulling off and letting us go by? But when ever people see that big fire truck they pull off the road, but not for brush trucks!

pull what crap? I pulled over he passed me, then I proceeded back to the speed limit and didn't dare pass him because I knew I shouldn't, thus why I was behind and following.
