Hello. I think you're a great teacher doing a really good job. I respectfully partly disagree with omyogagal, immersion can be useful, but the age and attention span of the kids is a critical factor and it is highly likely that if you were to use only the target language you would lose their focus pretty quickly. Easing into immersion gradually is the way to go perhaps and that seems to be what you are doing. Well done and keep up the good work. cheers. Simon

it is SO HARD to have a proper Chinese education in America. They have Hebrew school everywhere and their programs are accredited and recognized by the government. But Chinese schools just run on the weekends...
We need a far more comprehensive school system for that though.

Sorry to say this.....but not really a good exaple of demo teaching. Too much English using along with the target language which is Chinese. Immersion style of instruction is a better method for this age group to learn foreign languages.
