  • Yes, it was an M22. However, the whine in the video is the typical sound of "pete Jackson" steel mesh timming gears. This car has been sold.

  • Personally I'd rather have a 340 hp Powerglide...but I know most gearheads like the stickshifts...

  • cool car...love the heater and radio delete...this wonderfull time capsule of an age never to return...Id gladly give my right nut for that car, even just for a year of having it! LOL! Im serious as a heart attack!

  • I'm not a fan of Chevys but the beach boys are the only thing that make me like that car

  • thats my favorite car of the muscle car era. one day i hope to get a striped down biscane, and drop a 409, M22, and 12 bolt in it. one FUN car.

  • @gojoe283 i'd rather have a 413 wedge

  • "She's real fine"

  • Only thing a 409 is good for is a boat anchor

  • Let's put it up against a 413 Max Wedge and....just see....

  • I agree with gojoe283 on the 340 hp - smooth (hydraulic lifters) and powerful, only 5 less lb/ft of torque than the 400/425hp versions in '63. Wish I had '63 convertible back. In '62, the bubble-top was carried over for the Bel Air line only with the Impala 2dr hdtp transitioning to the new roof. The 4 speed available was a Borg-Warner T-10 not an M22. Powerglide came available with a 340hp in '63, 64 and early 65. I seriously looked for a 63 Z-11 in the mid 70's and never found one. :(

  • It is a 62, my dad had one. Not 409 but a 62 chevy belair. God what fun I had in that car.

  • @rudeman15 Reread my post I said it was a 62 I was correcting the guy who said it was a 61
