@eifeijf The young man is frustrated and fed up with the world because his girlfriend dumped him/did him wrong, so he decides to become a monk. But before doing that he wants to enjoy an earthly pleasure for the very last time and eats a Mars bar, which gives him new energy to face his troubles and fully enjoy life again. The wrappers at the end suggest the same thing has happened to other young men, which irritates the older monk at the monastry as he would gladly welcome some new followers.

@xxLoesx Not exactly. Kurt Cobain did do a cover of the song, but it's actually a very old American folk song. Although this version isn't sung by Kurt Cobain, but probably some studio artist trying to imitate him.
