Lyrics
Chorus : Liar, liar, pants on fire
Your nose is longer than a telephone wire

Best believe it, why I'm sad
You've been out all night, know you've been bad
Don't tell me different, know it's a lie
Come to me, honey, see how I cry

Why must you hurt me, do what you do
Listen here, boy, can't you see I love you
Make a little effort, try to be true
I'll be happy, not so blue

Chorus

If you keep on tellin' me those lies
Still goin' out with other guys
There'll come a day I'll be gone
Take my advice, won't be long

When that day comes, won't be mad
Be free of you, but I'll still be sad
In spite of your cheatin', still love you
so
I'll be unhappy if I let you go

Chorus

Liar, Liar is a song recorded by Debbie Harry for the soundtrack album Married to the Mob in 1988.

The track, which is a remake of The Castaways' 1965 hit single, was produced by Mike Chapman and it was their first collaboration since 1982's Blondie album The Hunter. The following year the two would team up again for the album Def, Dumb and Blonde.

"Liar Liar" was surprisingly not included on either 1988's Blondie/Debbie Harry remix compilation Once More into the Bleach or Def, Dumb and Blonde and is as yet only available on the long deleted Married to the Mob soundtrack album.

  • Debbie Harry has the best alternate version to the original Castaways hit. Her vocals and range are perfect for the song.

  • Yes. Give Debbie credit for covering a great song, but no one will ever top the

    Castaways' great original.

  • @Hawgboy66

To be fair, most songs suck **** compared to the original of this song.

  • @theexploited11 this isnt really punk rock. this is new wave/disco. blondie made it big as a disco act, not with their punky max's act like poly styrene and all those other dead boys (pun intended) that never made it real big with a crossover hit like rapture (heart of glass)

  • gota love punk rock
