@morito41 I lost a boyfriend to suicide 2years ago. I will admit that I too numbed my grief with alcohol for awhile. It may work for the time that you are drinking but you will wake up from it and regret that you wasted some much time just drinking. I joined a survivors of suicide group in my area. It's much easier opening up to those whom have been through the same thing as you. People who are not an SOS just don't get it.

my bro commited suicide on 3/15/10 and life is so much more sad i think its made me an alchoholic any advice for me i would really appreciate it

I lost my father to suicide just a month ago. All I can say is, and I can't stress this enough, get your loved one help and question them every day if they feel well or they have bad thoughts. Our whole family did this but the signs are not always clear. If they stop talking about killing themselves that is a HUGE sign. God Bless Everyone! If anyone is reading this that is thinking about suicide. GET HELP and talk to someone. YOU are worth it and May God Bless you too!

When I was 16 (1977) my best friend and big brother(19) set on fire and shot himself. He said, "I can't trust anyone anymore, I'm going to kill myself". I said, "yeah, sure.." and left the house. He did... We had been arguing for days, and I didn't take him seriously. I wish I had.. I wish plenty...
