Ok, I still can't get over this performance. If I understand correctly, she was only 16 when she sang this? That's INSANE!!! Just impossible that a 16 yo could sing like that, and yet ... there she is doing it.

She needs to come out on AI and do something really glamorous and sophistocated and really show off this voice, throw down the gauntlet so to speak. This competition should be all hers. But ... the best singer never wins, so I'm ready to be disapoointed again.

I must have watched Linda Ronstadt perform this song dozens of times in the movie version of "Pirates of Penzance" (why oh why won't they release it on DVD???), and Siobhan is almost as good as Linda. And that is very high praise indeed.  Tears are streaming down my cheeks, I love this young singer so much.....I do hope she wins "Idol."

What most people dont understand is that AI is about singing in a pop style. If you watch the beginning of every season, you see thousands of people who sing well, but dont fit the look that goes with being what AI considers to be the top. so yea, thats most of the reason why she did not do as well as some who sing worse than her

It seems inconceivable that a young girl of this amazing vocal prowess and performance caliber should lose to lesser lights on AI. It's obvious that the show is rigged and is set up as a promo for the ready-made albums of singer-songwriter types no matter how outdated and mediocre they are. Their subsequent so-so rushed albums are surefire evidence of this.

David Letterman had it right: Siobhan Magnus, you are OUR American Idol!!!

What an awesome voice! What I can't comprehend is the vast difference between this and (sorry) lame performance of "Through The Fire". It just doesn't seem possible that this gal who performed this operatic masterpiece could miss those notes. She's obviously way too well trained and talented which begs the questions: Is she a ringer? Was this competition 'rigged'? Was she SUPPOSED to lose?? Did she 'throw the fight'???  I don't see any other explanation!

OHMYGOD!!!! I had noooo idea Siobhan had this opera in her, & at 16??? how the hell did she remember the placement of all those scaled notes? unbelievable. I really hope Siobhan remains her own artist, & doesn't get sucked into "instant-stardom" pop music. she's meant for so much more, creating a whole new genre of music, even.
