  • You answered so many issues that I'm having with improving my setup.

Perfect! One question ....Can you mix panels in parallel if those panels have same voltages (+-1v) but different watts?

I have a 53 watt siemens, an 80 watt kyocera and 80 watt sharp?

OK for all in parallel to same charge controller? Should I use inline blocking diodes before the combiner box?

  • Hey hey, glad you liked the vid!

On your questions, I'd check with someone legitimately qualified to answer them - Honestly I'm not sure if you can mix panels of different watts but near-same voltages. You definitely don't want to mix voltages, at least.

Anyways, I'd check with a retailer - the place we got our gear from ( alt energy store) was really helpful with the questions I had. They also have really helpful forums with folks who know more about this that I do!

    Good luck!
