Friends, at the moment, around 16 platoons of police force have cordoned off village Dhinkia where at least 1000 villagers are trapped. The violence wreaked on the people is completely state sponsored to take over the areas that are the strongest base of the POSCO Pratirodh Sangram Samiti at Jagatsingpur. The situation right now is volatile and further state violence seems inevitable. It is not a clash of pro and anti POSCO people as the media and the Orissa government are claiming --- it is a desperate bid to pave the way for the South Korean corporate giant POSCO by using state force.

If u are Really Indian, You know why im using this word (INDIAN).jara sochiya ki Jagatsingpur(ORISSA)mai kiska Development ho raha hai. wahaan k logo ka jo ush mitti ko apni maa samjhte hai. Jis Mitti Par Chas(Khete) kar k apna aur apne bacho ka pet paal rahe hai.ya fir Smandor par se aaye Compony ka. Jese aaj se 250 saal phele EAST INDIA COMPONY ka development hua tha.waha k logo ka displacement k baad jara sochiye kya hoga.

So we have 2 options. either go for it or do not. we have not gone for it since last 50 years and we have seen the results. why not give it a chance. by the way how do you think about Maharasta and Gujrata? Are they doing good. If feel they are doing bad, then may be our thinking is different and I belive in development, rather than inaction. Its upto you.

Pradhan babu, kiye kahila eta sabu baseless?? Rather promises of so called 'development' by POSCO & its cohorts are entirely baseless if not lies. How do you u think selling iron ore at a loss of Rs 2 lakh crore to the state is development? That too at the cost of environment and agriculture? How many people will be employed by POSCO and how many will be devastated? Simple maths it is. Maybe too simple for you.

Hi,

Your thinking is completely baseless. I do not know whether you belong to Orissa or not, but I belong to Orissa and like that place too much. But I like my state to be one of the most developed states of India. I want no Oriya should stay hungry.And this is the only way for the development of Orissa. However,there should be a strategy for sustainable overall development of the State. So if you a Oriya n really like it, then do not post such things on public sites !
