I don't really hear an SNES resemblance. I hear mostly Double Dash in this. But now that you mention it, the bass line is somewhat similar to the SNES's.

Also, the theme is entirely reminiscent of the SNES version of the theme. I love all the Rainbow Road themes, but this one... One of the best.

The "hook" for this is the first part of the N64 version of Rainbow Road. Most Rainbow Road versions use the second part, simply because it was the "hook" for the N64 version. This version of Rainbow Road goes to show that both parts of the N64 theme were very good.
