  • I love lake whales. my grand mother lives there in the winter. very glad she does.

  • I was born here and lived here until we moved to Dundee when I was 3yo. My mom would take me to Bok Tower every summer and I loved to take peanuts to feed all those tame squirrels. Lake Wales is also famous for appearing on Unsolved Mysteries.

  • I'm moving there in the new year....

  • In 1988 I lived in Lake Wales and worked for WIPC radio. We did a live broadcast from Mr. Bok's private Library. Something I'll NEVER forget. We were broadcasting a performance of the carillon bells. I live a very enjoyable two years in Lake Wales, a great place to live!

  • I was born in Florida (Cocoa Beach) and lived in Fl until 2001,,I miss it every winter here in NC

  • Well done video on the town and surrounding area. I was born in Lake Wales, my great grandfather was one of the founding fathers. I moved to Vero Beach at age nine but kept returning to visit relatives until 2006. I have lived in the midwest for 19 long years and can't imagine how people exist being stuck inside for six months of the year! I am so glad my childhood was spent in sunny Florida!

  • im from lake wales then moved to milwaukee also

  • lake wales! 15 and in the LWHS marching band! got all superiors at MPA! Lake wales rocks!

  • Very nice!!Used to live in Bartow and worked at Lake Wales Med Center in the OB Dep .Live now back in Germany!! Thank you for posting!!!

  • Really enjoyed the tour. I was raised in Babson Park and graduated from Lake Wales High in 1938. There are still many buildings and points of interest that are familiar to me.

Always loved the peace and quiet of the Mountain Lake Sanctuary... my mother was in the choral group that sang at the dedication of the Bok Tower and I was there too... a rather disinterested youngster.

I think our '38 graduation class was one of, if not the last to be allowed to go up and actually ring the bells.
