Live Day Trading May 28 2009

A handful of RIMM and AAPL trades. Ended the day close to flat--I seemed to be fighting the market today which never ends up good.

Am very jealous of your commissions on lightspeed. I go for 400 of AAPL and have wider stop loss because it costs me 14 bucks a trade.

Hey Mark, Yep it's hard to factor in commissions and trade based on them. I do have a pretty good rate plan in place right now--who are you using?

Thanks! That's something I have been working on is getting in and out immediately. There was literally 1 second between the time I got stopped out of my short and then got long. Nothing wrong with admitting when you are wrong and taking the other side :)

I opened a Scottrade account as I planned on being a buy and hold trader at the beginning.

Once I lost large chunks of capital I realised the benefits of being flat overnight....

Will stick with ST until I decide if I can make a go of trading. It's eating into my profits as a day trader but there are no monthly fees if I decide to go dormant.
