How to connect a 3G Mobile Broadband dongle to your Vodafone DSL modem

This tutorial shows how to connect a 3G mobile broadband dongle to your Vodafone DSL modem for back up, mobility or use as a portable hotspot.

In the event that your DSL broadband connection is temporarily unavailable, you can use your Vodafone Mobile Broadband dongle to connect to the Internet. By attaching the mobile dongle to the modem, then all of your computers and Internet devices can share the 3G broadband connection.

Without the router, you can connect directly to your PC, alternatively we offer a range of devices that let you share your 3G service with other people in your household.

yeah, i just got a vodafone pay as you go dongle, it beats bans in chat rooms as it registers a new IP adress. it also has a limit of 3GB data download allowance which is peanuts and it expires after 30 days. But you have other tariffs, purchase one that suits you.
