thank you for posting this clip, i have been searching for this for the longest time. would you happen to know the name of the girl singer in this commercial? there is a longer version of this commercial, would you happen to have it? thanks a million again!

@7173boss351mach1 - This is the only version I saw. Unaware of a longer version. I can't recall the woman's name - found it online once but of course can't seem to find it anymore. It definitely isn't Shirley Bassey as someone thought. She's a relatively unknown but for some reason the first name of "Sandy" seems to pop into my mind....may be wrong, there.

I always thought it was bull that they aren't allowed to play cigarette commercials on tv, but I can see why now, this totally makes me want a Winston

Rather impressive~ the jingle is quite catchy and the dress and her hair make the "scene"~ no wonder tobacco cigarette commercials were banned~ but they still advertise alcohol~ personally, I think they should still advertise tobacco cigarettes along with electronic cigarettes, although I'm probably going to catch hell for saying that.....

An attractive woman singing the praises of Winston Cigarattes via a bouncy Nancy Sinatra-esque 60's tune in a 44 year old commerical? Okay, I'm sold! I'm taking up the habit right now and going out to buy me a pack!

You're right superburce, she does look like Serena from Bewitched. But her name is Carole Howe. I even have some promo shots of her (somewhere) that I got from the NY ad agency.

@FaganRoberts It's also interesting that in the days before the massive litigations, they would still always preface their customer-facing live shots with, "...if you're a smoker..." or "...cigarette smokers, let me tell you...".

@superbruce I was thinking that too.  Elizabeth Montgomery. She was a pretty heavy smoker.

My first cigarette ever and first pack I bought. I eventually ended up mostly smoking Marlboro Reds but Winstons were my second choice. They were very similar to Reds back then.
