I saw the first movie years ago when I was a child, and it sure sounded cool but even when I was 13 and even then I thought it was soooooo bad. How it got a sequel is beyond me.

Unfortunately I was one of the actors in this film. I played Slim the kidnapper. And yes, I'm really from NYC. One critic said I had a bad fake NY accent. I thought that was funny. Hey, we had a good time doing it. It's not meant to be good. The director/writer loves those old bad B-movie classic horror flicks and he wanted to spoof it. We shot the whole thing with a TV news camera. I did it for fun. We all laugh about it now. I had no idea it was going to be marketed so serisouly.

Yeah, John was just wanting to do it for fun and we all had a blast making it. I agree though, he seems he expanded the cast of characters to include as many local actors as he could. So, the range of actual acting ability was just that...a wide range...
...and the story line...yeah, it was all over the place.
In fact, if I remember correctly , the distribution company wanted him to add more scenes after filming was done!
