This is a video of the amazing crowd of citizens that I was a part of on 3/20/10 who drove from all accross this nation to stand in protest of the imminent house vote on the healthcare bill that passed the senate on Christmas. It was anounced that there were over 40,000 of us. The rally started before noon and lasted over two hours and then broke up so that people could go into the house office buildings to confront their representatives and staffers. We regrouped at 5 pm and completely surrounded the capital building with a ring of protesters. This was an amazing day. The fact that so many regular Americans dropped what they were doing and with just a days notice marched on the capital lawn in such numbers speaks volumes about the citizenry's growing anger with the federal government.

  • I just find it funny that if Bush had proposed the same exact bill; the Dems would have been just as pissed.

  • You are probably right. They think this is a game.

  • Protesters are annoying

  • @bckotkowski my god, your my hero.

  • @sehnzeleid but the keyword dumbasses is that "if Bush had proposed". he never did, nor would he ever. Bush did have some faults im not going to lie, but he NEVER, said or proposed, and now unfortunitly forced everybody in the U.S.A., to have healthcare... WE ARE AMERICA. what the hell happend to being able to choose what you want and dont want? like one of the signs says, "Equal rights, not equal things"

  • When it shall be said in any country in the world, my poor are happy; neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want, the taxes are not oppressive; the rational world is my friend, because I am the friend of its happiness: when these things can be said, then may that country boast its constitution and its government. Thomas Paine, Rights of Man

  • the reps fucked it up.. now the dems... we are all fucked... welcome to america..... welcome to peaceful protest... man.. I wish.. people.... would stop ... being so nice to this fucked up G.O.V... and take back their rights...the people in congress don't care nothing about the people nor if they die... all they care about... is money and control.. and special interest.. WAKE UP PEOPLE... WAKE UP...

  • obama gonna die =) so no worries old man

  • @bertonbg ignorant? Socialism = state control of industry, banks and healthcare. under democrats the federal goverment now owns the majority share of GM and Chrysler, bailed out and now dictate who and when banks loan money. under democrats the federal governemnt has re-shaped and now dictate your healthcare and all who oppose get threats of medicare funds yanked. nooooo they're not socialist at all.

  • @osborneproductions grow up, kid.

  • @rugger8541 the mere fact that you put '(socialists)' as an addition to the word democrats is proof that you are ignorant beyond belief.
